HuB (Hear u Buddy)

Since March 2024, the HuB (Hear u Buddy) Programme has been running to support families in Sandwell by providing family activities and support across Oldbury, Rowley Regis and Smethwick.
Funded by Sandwell Council, the HuB runs in parallel with partners across the borough to support parents, father figures and carers by lending a helping hand to navigate the early part of parenthood. This may be through activities such as Wellies in the Woods, Mini Groundbugs and Little Diggers, through 1-2-1 support, or through a peer support network of other parents who have been on a similar journey.
The peer support services will aim to reach isolated families in Sandwell, offer a listening ear and practical guidance to increase their confidence to access integrated support to help them care for their children from conception, and throughout the early years. This will promote positive perinatal mental-health and enhancing the parent-infant relationship.
