WHY PARTNER WITH GROUNDWORK NE & CUMBRIA

Sponsorship plays a vital role in supporting Groundwork North East & Cumbria (GNEC), an environmental charity on a mission to transform local communities and create a greener, more sustainable future.
Developing a partnership with us will drive impactful environmental and social change, supporting essential projects that:
Protect and enhance green and blue spaces– Biodiversity is boosted and ecosystems are strengthened through nature-based solution programmes which aim to tackle climate change.
Deliver Green Skills and Jobs– Our training and support programmes help people into employment.
Promote greener living– Green Doctor and Home Energy Advice teams provide impartial home energy and retrofit advice.
Empower communities– Young people are empowered to engage in their communities; breaking the cycle of disadvantage and making positive life choices.
Together, we can create greener, stronger, and more inclusive communities.
For you as a business, sponsorship offers more than just brand visibility—it demonstrates a commitment to environmental social governance (ESG) and corporate social responsibility (CSR).
Partner with Groundwork NE & Cumbria to create a greener, fairer future in which people, places, and nature thrive!

“Corporate Social Responsibility in the UK benefits both businesses and the communities they serve. It helps companies build a positive reputation, attract and keep talent, and manage risks more effectively. At the same time, it contributes to the social, economic, and environmental well-being of the wider community. When businesses make CSR part of their core strategies, they create lasting value—not just for themselves, but for society as a whole.”
