The Geospatial and Data Services (GDS) Team of Groundwork London has worked closely with Groundwork and external clients for more than 15 years. We specialise in data and spatial projects that leverage maps and GIS to help Groundwork deliver positive outcomes for a wide range of communities and individuals.
We’ve also created custom spatial and data solutions, including maps and data analysis tools, for external clients such as the Greater London Authority (GLA), Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS), and the Thames Estuary project.
Our Approach
We are a team of highly passionate and dedicated professionals with a wide range of technical skills and an Agile working methodology. We excel in co-design, collaborating with clients throughout the entire project lifecycle. This includes:
- Exploring data and spatial challenges
- Analyzing workload and resource needs
- Developing initial proof-of-concept models
- Incorporating client feedback
- Handing over the final product (including maps, reports, or CRM systems)
- Providing ongoing support
Current Projects
The GDS Team is currently developing custom data solutions, including potential CRM systems, to store and manage information about:
- Young people and their parents, to support their mental health and family well-being
- Residents interested in saving money, water, and energy
- Groundwork staff who deliver a wide range of sessions across multiple health, food, and community-focused projects
