About Us

In partnership with Islington Council, Groundwork London provides opportunities for local residents to volunteer with the Islington Greener Together (IGT) Champions programme. This includes access to training, support and resources that will enable communities to look after their green spaces.

The IGT Champions programme taps into the enthusiasm of Islington residents to plant and maintain new green spaces, find new opportunities for greening, act on climate change and transform neighbourhoods.

Islington Greener Together Champions is joint funded by Islington Council and Future Parks Accelerator.

The programme provides:

Resources: Explore a range of materials, guides, and tools designed to support your volunteering efforts and initiatives.
Support: Whether you have questions, need advice, or require assistance, don’t hesitate to reach out to our team.
Training: Access training sessions and workshops tailored to enhance your knowledge and skills in sustainability, community engagement, and more.
Champions Network: Connect with fellow volunteers, share ideas, collaborate on projects, and be part of a supportive community of changemakers.
