We offer a flexible, person-centred approach to supporting young people aged 13+ years who are not attending school or post 16 education or are Electively Home Educated. We offer accredited learning packages including Maths, English & ICT. We are an Approved NCFE Learning Centre. In addition to accredited learning, we offer workshops in subjects such as Cookery, Boxing, First Aid, Art, Drama, Healthy Relationships, Resilience, Music, Employability Skills and Social Action.
The project is delivered over a 6-week period (term time only) on Tuesday mornings, all day Wednesday and all-day Thursday. We work in small group settings with around 6-8 young people in a session at any one time. Students who enrol onto the accredited learning packages will stay with us for usually 18 weeks or until they have achieved an accreditation in the subject they are studying.
Our Learning Centre is based at The Core, Church Road, Saltash, PL12 4AE.
The project is part funded by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. Cornwall Council has been chosen by Government as a Lead Authority for the fund and is responsible for monitoring the progress of projects funded through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund in Cornwall and The Isles of Scilly.
