Retrofit Services
Recognising the importance of a building’s fabric within domestic energy advice, our Green Doctor’s have expanded their knowledge and qualifications within the field, to become qualified retrofit advisors, assessors and coordinators.
Our Green Doctor’s understand the needs and challenges faced by people facing multiple challenges therefore we go above and beyond our contractual commitment to ensure Groundwork’s reputation in the community as a trusted partner remains intact. We treat residents with respect and dignity throughout their retrofit journey, removing jargon and making the process easy to understand.
Our Retrofit Services

Retrofit Advice
Retrofit Advisors are community based offering help and support around the retrofit process. The aims of the advisors is to promote confidence in the retrofit sector by targeting hard to reach groups who often live in the poorest performing homes. The advice is often around potential funding schemes, measure specific advice or even as simple as explaining what retrofit is to people.
Explaining the retrofit journey and PAS2035 can often help people to fully understand the benefits of domestic retrofit, and in turn ensuring people live in warm, comfortable & well ventilated homes. Creating better living conditions and reducing carbon emissions.
Retrofit Assessment & Coordination
Our Green Doctor’s help landlords and home owners develop a Medium-Term Improvement Plan which, following a full house survey, provides guidance on the best methods to reduce fuel bills and carbon emissions.
Government grants for energy performance upgrades are typically required to fall within PAS 2030 and PAS 2035 legislation. To comply with this legislation a qualified Retrofit Assessor and Coordinator will be required to oversee the project. Our Retrofit Assessors and Coordinators are trained to the highest level and work to find the right solution for the people living in the house and not just the house itself.

EPCs
An up to date Energy Performance Certificate (EPC) is legally required when selling or renting out a home. At Groundwork we offer this service with quick turnaround times and at competitive rates with reductions for multiple bookings.
Who we’ve worked with:
Groundwork has been a valuable partner in the Local Energy Advice Demonstrator project. Their focus on the individual needs of each household has been particularly helpful. By offering tailored energy-saving advice, they ensured that families felt supported in making practical changes. Their personalised approach has made a noticeable difference in helping improve energy efficiency and reduce costs for the community. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication to making a positive impact on the lives of local residents.
