Our subsidised sessions aim to provide a connection to nature and empower young people to be creative, improve their communication and develop critical thinking, leading to more confident and resilient citizens.

Janine and the team delivering Outdoor Learning sessions

Janine, our Outdoor Learning Officer, has worked in outdoor settings and engaged people of all ages and abilities for over 25 years.

Janine will travel to your location and deliver specialist nature craft/bushcraft workshops which are fun, engaging and educational. She also delivers outdoor mental health and wellbeing sessions, offering trauma informed practise and enabling a fully inclusive environment.

Activities for bespoke sessions can include:

  • Nature crafts – Willow weaving, mosaics, bird feeders, natural tie dyeing and more
  • Wellbeing in nature – nature connection sessions for outdoor positive mental health
  • Bushcraft and Forest school sessions – Confidence building sessions
  • Foraging – Identifying plants and using them for cooking
  • Herbalism – Harvesting and using herbs for ointments, scrubs, teas, etc
  • Planting – Creating seed bombs, kokadame, practising companion planting etc
  • Building – Creating habitats, ponds, willow domes, tunnels etc

And so much more!

These sessions can be used as part of a curriculum, as well as team building days for both old and young groups of people.
