Extra support into work
If you are disabled, have a long-term health condition or are just experiencing low mood and you would like help finding employment, support returning to work after sickness, or you require support to stay in work, Groundwork can help!
Our team of IPS Employment Specialists will:
- Get to know you and learn your interests to create an action plan based on what you want to do
- Help prepare your new CV
- Provide you with practice for interviews
- Support you to share your mental health condition with an employer where appropriate
- Assist you with job searching and approaching employers
- Help you get the wrap around service by working with health care providers on your behalf
- Provide in-work support once you have successfully found work together, or liaising with your current employer to help make workplace adjustments for your return to work
- Advise on any benefits and how these could be affected by going into work
In order to access support you must:
- Be a resident of Greater Manchester
- Not be on another DWP contracted employment programme or provision, including ESF-funded provision.
- Not be on another employment programme or provision delivered another government department, charitable trust, or third party.
- Not be receiving employment support, other than from Jobcentre Plus
- Have a physical or mental health disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010 (note: *No evidence required to access our service just telling us is enough)
- Be willing to participate in WW: IPSPC to remain in paid work or be willing to find and sustain paid work.
- Be of working age (18+)
- If already in-work, must have been employed for at least 6 months before starting WW: IPSPC and be working a minimum of 7 hours per week; and
- Have an entitlement to public funds.
