Energy, water and waste
We help people to reduce their use of natural resources to save them money – and become part of the movement battling the climate crisis.
Our Green Doctor energy advisers help people benefit from adopting more sustainable behaviours in the home, maximising their comfort while minimising their bills, and refer those with more pressing needs to specialist services. We help people save water by providing advice and fitting practical measures and run enterprises providing recycled household goods to families in need. We also work alongside housing providers and local authorities to ensure those who need it most are able to benefit from home upgrade schemes.
We can help deliver:
- Support for people experiencing fuel poverty
- Programmes to tackle damp and disrepair
- Water saving campaigns and education
- Re-use and recycling skills
- Retrofit advice and coordination
The way we work:
- We are community-focused: our advisers are experienced at working with people in challenging circumstances, ensuring advice is tailored to each person’s needs.
- We make every contact count: our in-home service means we can address multiple issues at the same time and help identify people who need extra support from other agencies.
- We prioritise partnership: we work closely with energy providers and water companies to ensure our programmes add value to their customer support offer and link with housing and health providers to facilitate referrals.
- We promote sustainable behaviours: we provide advice, training and practical support to help people learn new skills and change behaviours for good.
