Energy Redress Programme: Green Doctor, Greener Homes
Groundwork is helping vulnerable households heat their homes, pay their energy bills, and support retrofit engagement via the Energy Redress programme.
The programme will offer assistance and relief for up to 4,050 vulnerable households across 6 locations in England. Our team of experienced energy-efficiency experts, Green Doctors, will deliver services to help address the immediate needs of vulnerable energy customers through high quality energy advice, whilst supporting long-term solutions to fuel poverty by increasing engagement in retrofit programmes that will deliver warmer, more fuel efficient homes.
The programme is funded through theĀ Energy Industry Voluntary Redress Scheme, with funding managed by the Energy Saving Trust.

Aims of the programme
- The programme will build upon existing community partnerships to continue to respond to the needs of people in fuel poverty in six high need areas across England.
- As part of the offer, Green Doctors will install energy saving measures as well as offering advice on how households can reduce their energy usage and costs. This includes signposting to other organisations, such as debt relief or health and wellbeing support.
- In tandem we will increase our focus on retrofit opportunities, building suitability assessments into our energy advice, running awareness-raising events, and partnering with retrofit schemes to target customers who risk missing out on the benefits of warmer, more efficient homes.
