Mark Hubbocks - Groundwork

I am a consultant in an accountancy practice based in Hertfordshire having sold my own practice in 2023. I specialise in audit, business consultancy and corporate finance for UK and International clients.

I work extensively with clients on understanding their business and understanding what they want from their business. I am very much “hands on” and always able to find a pragmatic solution to any problem. I have clients that operate in a range of industry sectors, but I have a strong bias towards manufacturing businesses.

I enjoy reading history and in particular historic literature, including stoic philosophy (Marcus Aurelius, Seneca and latterly Cicero). I am a second dan black belt in Shotokan Karate and enjoy playing cricket and football. I am passionate about travel and have been lucky enough to have visited many countries for work and leisure – with many more to go.

I believe that as a business owner that serves our local community, it is important that you give back to that community.

Mark became a Trustee for Groundwork East in April 2020 and became our Company Secretary in September 2023.
