Carolyn Reid

Carolyn Reid is our Chief Executive Officer, driving an exciting programme of growth across the East of England. Prior to Groundwork Carolyn was the Assistant Director for Growth and Development at Norfolk County Council and has worked in local government for over 12 years, managing significant economic programmes including the only cross border programme ever to have been managed by an English local authority, the 315M Interreg France (Channel) England Programme.

She brings with her a wealth of experience of developing and delivering economic strategies and led on Norfolk’s post EU investment framework working with a wide range of stakeholders. She is driven and passionate about empowering people and communities and delighted to be spearheading an organisation that places the environment at its core.
