Peter Duffy
I retired some years ago after a long corporate career in the energy sector, followed by several years working as an interim manager in both industry and the public sector. I have a broad experience of business leadership gained across a variety of general management and senior functional roles, including strategy implementation and project management.
More recently, I have supported a variety of charities as a volunteer consultant typically working on strategy, change management or governance issues. I am also a Trustee of a Hertfordshire based charity working in the care sector, where I serve on the Finance and Audit committee.
I was particularly attracted to joining Groundwork East based on the variety of work the charity develops, and the creative way the team develop a portfolio of projects which combines the interests of multiple partners in both the private and public sectors.
In addition to my charity roles, I am an active student of foreign languages and history, both of which complement a love of travel. I spend lots of time spent walking the Hertfordshire countryside, and further afield when travel allows.
Peter became a Trustee for Groundwork East in July 2022.
