Groundwork recently hosted a celebration event marking the conclusion of its Low Carbon Mentoring programme at Cheshire West and Chester’s Business Support Hub on Winsford Industrial Estate. The event brought together businesses and organisations committed to sustainable growth and decarbonisation.

Pathways To Net Zero

Andrew Cooper MP attended as a guest of honour, presenting certificates to participating companies from Winsford Industrial Estate, Gadbrook Park, and West Chester BID. These businesses had successfully completed the Pathways to Net Zero training, an initiative designed to provide organisations with guidance on best practices for tackling the climate crisis. The programme offers essential knowledge and ongoing learning to support companies in reducing their carbon footprint.

UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UK SPF)

The event also spotlighted Groundwork’s contributions to the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UK SPF) decarbonisation project. As part of this initiative, Groundwork has supported 57,000 square meters of commercial floor space and facilitated a reduction of over 200 tonnes of CO2 emissions.
