Duration: October 2026

Background

Our Youth Work team supports Greater Manchester’s youth to connect with others and have access to resources which help them to learn and develop their potential. In Tameside, we’ve engaged over 100 local young people through previous programmes and ongoing youth advisory boards.

What we’re doing

As part of Green Futures, our team will be running weekly sessions for 11-18 year olds local to Tameside. These activities will support young people to enhance their local greenspaces, connect with their communities and improve their skills and wellbeing.

The project will bring together young people, volunteers, and local leaders across Hattersley, creating a collective responsibility for environmental preservation and improving the overall quality of local green spaces.
