Natural Environment Programme Manager

ROLE SUMMARY

As the Natural Environment Programme Manager, you’ll be creating vibrant, resilient landscapes through leading and managing exciting projects focused on river restoration, natural flood management and biodiversity enhancement, shaping the future of our green and blue spaces.

Collaborating with landowners and stakeholders across Greater Manchester, programmes currently include:

  • The Irwell Catchment Partnership and it’s pipeline of projects
  • Harnessing the power of nature-based solutions to improve water quality and climate resilience eg through developing water management plans with landowners;
  • Designing and testing financial mechanisms to promote sustainable land use;
  • Restoring river valleys, creating wetland habitats and implementing natural flood management solutions.
